zoom whitening pain

I want to get my teeth whitened… pain involved?

..I have VERY sensitive teeth. Should I try an over the counter item such as Crest Whitestrips, or go to my dentist for a professional treatment such as Zoom? What are the pain levels involved with each of those treatments?
