A question about enamel and toothpaste, to do with whiteness?
I’ve predominately used Aqua-Fresh toothpaste for as long as I can remember. Sometimes I’ll get Tom’s of Maine when I’m feeling rich. I’ve only ever used whitening toothpaste once or twice, its definitely not a habit. I’m not a smoker, I don’t eat a lot of blueberries, rarely drink red wine and never touch coffee.
About 6 weeks ago I picked up a tube of Crest, just plan ordinary “original” Crest. It was the first time I’d ever used it (I’m 28). In about a week my teeth were yellowing and painfully sensitive. After about 2 weeks I had to stop using it.
I got Aquafresh Extreme Clean and now my teeth are white and not painful anymore.
Why would Crest turn my teeth yellow and painful? Or could it be something from only using the Aquafresh?
My bf things its a marketing scam by Crest to make teeth yellow so we all go and spend a fortune on all their whitening products. What do you think?
I just think Aquafresh is a better toothpaste. I used crest and my teeth were always a yellow color even with their whitening toothpaste. I’m using Aquafresh right now and every time i brush my teeth, they are a nice bright white.
